Lewis County Burn Permits Instructions A permit is required for open burning. The burning of garbage, paper or other refuse is strictly prohibited at all times. Please review the burn area maps to verify whether burning is permitted in your area. Once this has been verified, select continue and fill out the form. Proceed to read and accept the burn permit agreement to print your burn permit. Burn Permit: Valid from application date until June 30th . 2-Day Burn Permit: Valid for 48 hours . This application is for a Burn Permit . Effective 8:00 a.m., September 18, 2019, there are no burn restrictions in place for unincorporated lands regulated by Lewis County.
